What is the Caja Rural de Asturias Network of Organic School Gardens?
This initiative is led by COPAE, currently in collaboration with Caja Rural de Asturias, with the primary goal of promoting awareness of organic farming in schools throughout the Principality of Asturias.
The Organic School Garden is an educational resource that fits into the curriculum and promotes healthy lifestyle habits, such as healthy eating, exercise, responsible consumption, and caring for the environment. The main objective is to raise awareness about organic farming and its benefits, as well as to gradually incorporate organic and locally sourced foods into the school cafeteria.

Who can register?
Any school in the Principality of Asturias that is interested can join the initiative free of charge. All you have to do is follow the steps described below.
Priority will be given to schools in the Network that are most actively involved in school gardens and in promoting organic farming, as well as those participating in the Healthy Eating and Organic Production Program in Asturias’ school cafeterias, run by the Regional Ministries of Health, Education, and Rural Affairs, in which COPAE participates, implementing the objectives of the NAOS Strategy in Asturias.
